Find answers to common inquiries about events hosted by the Little Deschutes Grange #939. We are here to help you make the most of your experience with us.
Should I sign up for La Pine Grange Events from Facebook, All Events, or other websites?
Please sign up for events that require an RSVP from our Grange Website Events Calendar. We can only notify you of event changes due to unforeseen circumstances if you sign up from our La Pine Grange website.
You don’t need to sign up if an event does not require an RSVP. However, feel free to show interest through other websites. We might not know who you are from other websites, but we can see a headcount for those interested in attending our events.
Can I RSVP for events on Facebook or other sites?
No. You can only show interest on Facebook or other sites. To RSVP, go to our Events Calendar, find the event page, and sign up there. If an RSVP form doesn’t display, you won’t need to sign up or send an RSVP.
What is the fastest way to view events from the Events Calendar?
Click the “List Button” in the upper right corner of the Upcoming Events calendar to view a list of events by date. That way, you won’t need to click through every month from the Monthly Calendar View— unless you want to!
What types of events does the Grange host?
We host a variety of events, including community workshops, seasonal events, sales, and educational gardening, cooking, sewing, quilting, crafts, and more. Many classes are focused on agriculture and sustainability. Contact us at events@lapinegrange.org with questions or to host a class.
How can I participate in an event?
Everyone can participate by visiting our Upcoming Events Calendar to review our list of events. You do not need to be a Grange Member to attend our events. Most events are free and open to unlimited attendees. Some event classes have limited attendance and require an RSVP. Some classes may have a small fee to help cover material costs. If you have questions, please contact us directly at events@lapinegrange.org.

Are Grange events open to everyone?
Yes, our events are open to the public. We encourage everyone to join in on the fun and be part of our community activities.
Is there a fee to attend the La Pine Grange events?
Most of our events are free, but some may require a small fee to cover materials for special activities. Each event page provides details. If a fee is required, we collect it at the event. We cannot accept credit cards at this time.
How do I pay for an event that has a fee?
Cash is collected at the event. We cannot accept credit cards at this time. In the future, we hope to set up online payments. Some classes are offered by local businesses. If they accept credit cards, we will provide a link to their website from our event web page.
Can I bring my family to the events?
Absolutely! Our events are family-friendly and designed to engage all age groups. However, be sure to check the event page details, as some classes are for ages 14 years and older.
How do I stay updated on upcoming events?
Visit our Upcoming Events page. Be sure to do a final check on events you have signed up for a day or so before the event for last-minute updates. We never know when weather will affect road conditions or if we need to make a last-minute change due to unforeseen circumstances.
Can someone cancel a RSVP if the event is full?
Yes. However, the online system automatically closes the event when the maximum number of attendees is met. If that happens, please email us at events@lapinegrange.org using the name and email address you used to sign up so we can find your name on our RSVP list. We will confirm your cancellation request and then cancel the RSVP.

I don't have email, can I still RSVP for an event?
Yes. Perhaps a friend would help you sign up using their email address and your name on our Events Calendar RSVP form.
Can I view past events?
Yes, but at some point, past events will be automatically deleted, so the focus remains on current and future events. This helps reduce the size of the website’s database and speeds up content delivery in your web browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, and others. Contact our Website Administrator at webmaster@lapinegrange.org if you have questions about past events.
